Twinsburg boys basketball drops first loss to Brush

It was just too much offense as the Twinsburg boys basketball team dropped a 75-56 decision at Lyndhurst Brush in Northeast Ohio Conference action.

Delvon Robinson scored 23 points to lead three players in double figures on Dec. 6 as the Arcs buried nine three pointers in a hot shooting performance.

The Tigers dropped to 2-1 this season. Brush moved to 2-1.

Senior forward Marcus Wallace scored 14 points Twinsburg, which also had junior forward Sharondre Nicholson with 13 and junior forward Christian Strozier with 10.

Netting a career high seven points was sophomore guard Mark Foust while senior Sean Marable had six. Adding two points was senior Zach Gronowski and senior Michael Berthold, along with junior Shane Farmer.

Chris Oakley scored 19 points for the Arcs and Jordan Bonner had 11.

On Dec. 3, the host Tigers had six players score at least eight points, led by 15 from senior guard Tay Johnson, in a 68-55 win over Revere.

Junior guard Jarette Gardenhire poured in 11 points, Nicholson scored 10 points, along with Wallace and Farmer.

Marable popped in eight points, Strozier six, and Foust had two. Twinsburg will hosted Cuyahoga Falls and Olmsted Falls on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14, respectively.

Revere, which had a late rally, was led by Zach Lalkowski with 28 points and Dezmond Rozek had 21.

Twinsburg will host Medina on Dec. 17.

The Tigers will also compete in the first annual Hoops with a Heart Classic on Dec. 21 at Walsh University, presented by Db Hoops. Twinsburg will play Massillon Washington at 9 p.m.
