Michael Porinchak realizes that winning the close matches this season could be instrumental in the success that his Twinsburg girls tennis team has.

Twinsburg has had some successes this season and are 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the Suburban League's National Division.

The Tigers battled Medina Highland Sept. 1 in a tough 3-2 loss.

Highland, 7-2 overall, is 2-0 in the American Division of the SL and is one of those strong units on Twinsburg's schedule this season.

"Last year, we lost a few really close matches and hopefully this year our experience will put us over the top," said Porinchak.
