Twinsburg's boys basketball team ran into another one of those strong teams on its schedule and fell 64-41 on the road to Brecksville-Brecksville Broadview Heights Dec. 16.

Managing just 17 first half points, the Tigers had a difficult time playing from behind in the Suburban League National Conference road trip.

The Tigers fell to 1-4 overall to 0-2 in the National Conference. Brecksville is 2-0 in league play.

Youthful Twinsburg was outscored 17-6 in the first 8:00 as the Tigers were outscored 15-0 to close out the quarter.

Then the lead ballooned in the second period to 38-17 at the half. After three quarters, Twinsburg was down 54-28.

Pacing the Tigers against the bigger Bees (4-0) was freshman Kenny McElrath as the guard scored a career-high 10 points.

Another freshman -- 6-3 forward Daydon Adams, also played well as he had seven points.

Senior guard Jalen Tucker hit two 3-pointers and scored six points, followed by senior Vince Paolucci's five, four by senior Mike Cusma, junior Michael Moore had four, junior Chris Fox three, and junior Darrell Newsom had two.

Newsom sparked the team with eight points while McElrath had six.

Tucker added four as did Moore, Adams had two, and senior forward Chris Wilder added a free throw.

Twinsburg was set to host Stow-Munroe Falls Dec. 20, but results were not available at press time. The Tigers will close out 2016 at Aurora Dec. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
